Builder code name Burrito has emerged with new stuffs, you can now start learning to write code for android based mobile phones.

With the Flex SDK "Hero" and Flash Builder "Burrito" preview releases which initially target the Android platform, additional mobile platform support has been added over time, it now includes BlackBerry™ Tablet OS and Apple iOS®. By providing a common path to creating applications for both desktop and multiple mobile platforms, Flex and Flash Builder can significantly reduce the time and cost associated with development and testing while providing users with a consistent application experience.

Flash Builder 4 beta is out

Flash Builder 4 delivers a long list of new features, plus improvements to many existing features.There are three main themes to this release: developer productivity, designer-developer workflow, and data-centric application development. For an overview of the features included in this first public beta release, please read Tim Buntel’s What’s New in Flash Builder 4 article and watch the new feature videos. As always, the Flex 4 framework is included within Flash Builder, so please also read Matt Chotin’s What’s New in the Flex 4 SDK article.



The name isn’t the only thing Adobe changed. This version also includes many new features that focus on design, data, productivity, and testing. These new “feature themes” include:

* The designer and developer workflow – tight integration between Adobe Flash Professional and Adobe Flash Catalyst
* Data-centric development – easily connect and bind to server-based data and service models.
* IDE productivity and testing – getter and setting generation, conditional breakpoints in the debugger, Flex Unit support, and many more!

Another Year of flex action  and action script have just begin. For some people it is the continueity of the past flex 2 but for others it the new Era of RIA.

We do not need flex server anymore flex builder is robust enough to use and host that support java, apache jakata and so on even MS window IIS can help put the programmed RIA on the web.

Adobe Flex Database made easy with Xammp.

Can this be more easier it can never be more easier thian this. you connect to the database choose your data table and the binding is done automatically

I have wanted to put this out as question to the reader for sometime now using flex with apache until I downloaded Xammp just to play with than I saw the potential it came with, with all the powerful stuffs with it is amazing how you will just in twinkle of an eye create databases in flex using mysql database. In Xammp there are tools like phpmyadmin, tomcat is included, mode_pearl and fast_cgi. Adobe flex with Xammp and Mysql is database made easy.
